We are moving upstairs to Circle Martial Arts as there is a proper matted gym there.
Classes will be:
Tuesdays 7-8pm and this will be a syllabus class.
Thursdays 7-8pm and this will be an applications, sparring, conditioning and fistness class.
All classes are now £6

On the 3rd of July John Russell of the BKFA conducted a very enjoyable and informative course on sticking hands and the new rules that will be in place for the BKFA National Championships. I hope there will be a lot more people competing this year.

A bit late for a write-up maybe but I wanted to share a review from a wedding dance recently:
“Northen Tigers performed a surprise Lion Dance at our wedding and it completely blew everyone’s minds!
Our guests had no idea what was about to happen, and from the moment the drumming started, they were transfixed. Shortly after, two lions burst into the room from different entrances and performed an unforgettable dance routine that left everyone shocked, delighted and amazed. Our Chinese guests all commented on how impressive the footwork and movement of the lions were, and all our other guests (who have never seen a Lion Dance before) said it made the wedding into one they would never, ever forget! It was the end to a magical day.
The whole team were fantastic and it was a pleasure to have them at our wedding. Huge thanks from my wife and I, and a big thumbs up from everyone who was there on the day. Stunning!

Tomorrow you can see us dance in Ashton-Under-Lyne.
We are leaving the library at 11:30 and parading from their to the town hall which we should reach at about 12:00. We will then perform a routine in front of the Town Hall.
Later on we will do a kung fu display and another dance, possible a drunken lion routine.

Well what a fantastic week we have had. We were asked to perform in Aladding at Hyde Festival Theatre and although I was initially a little doubtful as to whether we could perform a proper lion dance in a Panto it worked out beautifully.
We have had a fantastic week and if anyone else wants to get us on stage please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Wow I feel I haven’t updated for ages. Last weekend (the 31st July 2010) saw us doing a wedding dance at the Monastery in Gorton. This was the biggest wedding we have done and was amazing. The dance was just as we had rehearsed asnd was very well received.
Yesterday we did a dance in Darlington, 250 mile round trip yuck, but again we had a great time.
Tomorrow I’m off for the second part of Geoff Thompson’s masterclass, cant wait!
